The award-winning Four Anjels Artisan Bakery is based in Cheltenham, on the fringes of the Cotswolds. We bake delicious cakes, biscuits and bespoke treats for prestigious clients in the retail, food service and exclusive hamper markets.

Everything is made in the artisan way with simple and honest cupboard ingredients but we are famous for adding a unique twist by using alternative flours and unusual inclusions to our imaginative, recipes – ultimately, though,  they just always taste amazing.

In The Beginning

In 2010 Four Anjels was founded by Andrea Stevens, Steve Greenhalgh, Dr Barry Cronin & Trevor Stephens inspired by their vision of creating a bakery in the heart of the Cotswold’s that employs passionate bakers to make bespoke hand made products.

The company began with 5 staff, 1 oven and 1 mixing bowl producing a range of biscuits for a handful of independent shops.

Today

At the end of the first business year, Four Anjels took the plunge and we custom built our own factory to meet the demands of the growing customer portfolio and product range.

Now we have a team of 39 local employees, led by Managing Director Andrea Stevens and Technical & Operations Director Julie Painting. This enables the bakery to run 24 hours a day, 5 days a week checking ingredients, weighing down, mixing and baking in small batches which we are proud to supply to a prestigious group of local, national and global customers.

We don’t believe in using machines to do jobs that people can do better which means the quality and taste of our products is dependent on the passion, care and teamwork of our most important asset – our people.

We are accredited with a British Retail Consortium Global Standard for Food Safety Grade AA which also includes the Gluten Free Module. We have secured a reputation for ‘producing award winning products with a professional, straight-forward and uncomplicated attitude.’

Great Taste Awarded and finalists in the 2015 Bakery Industry Awards, we continue to develop and expand our product range by placing customers at the heart of the business enhancing our reputation as a ‘gem of the Cotswolds.’*
